Stress Management from Jesus

Jesus Christ was constantly under pressure. There were high demands on His time; He rarely had any personal privacy. He was constantly interrupted; people repeatedly misunderstood him, criticized Him, and ridiculed Him. He had enormous stress which would have caused any of us to cave in, shut ourselves down, depression, out bust of anger, killing someone or even consider to suicide.

But as we look at the life of Christ we quickly discover that He remained at peace under pressure. He was never in a hurry. He was always at ease. He had calmness about His life that enable Him to handle enormous amounts of stress. How did He do this so successfully? He based His life on sound principles of stress management. If we understand and apply these principles in our lives. I think we'll experience less pressure and more peace of mind. Thank you Jesus for showing us on earth to model it out. He's truly Hero.

Number 1 : Identity!!! Know Who You Are
See what Jesus has to offer and still saying the same Powerful Words to us
Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12) “I am the Door” (10:9); “I am the Way and the truth and the Life”(14:6) “I am the Good Shepherd” (10:11); “I am God's Son” (10:36). Christ knew who He was!

Friend, The first principle for handling stress in our life is this: Know who you are. It is the principle of identification. Jesus said, “I know who I am. I testify to Myself” this is critically important in stress management because if we don't know who we are, somebody else may try to tell us who he thinks we are. If we don't know who we are, we will let other people manipulate us and pressure us into being somebody we aren't. That's suck!!!

A lot of stress in life results from our wearing masks, being unreal with others, living double lives, or trying to be somebody we're not. Insecurity always produces pressure in our lives, and when we're insecure we feel pressured to perform and also to conform. Trying to please everyone. We set unrealistic standards for our lives, and even though we work, work, work, we can't meet those unrealistic standards. Tension and pressure naturally occur as a result. Again that's suck!!!

The number 1 way to balance stress in life is to get an internal balance of who I am. And I know who I am by knowing whose I am. I am a child of God. I was put on earth not by accident but for a purpose. I am deeply loved by God. I am accepted by Him. He has a plan for my life, and because He put me here I am significant, worthy, a purpose and destinied!!! This is way Cool !!!

And because He put us here, we are significant. To handle stress we gotta know who we are. Until we handle this issue. We'll be pressured by insecurity. Not a fun feeling to cope with.

If you don't know Jesus? Say a prayer of invitation of Jesus to come into your life. Jesus is real, He's more than willing to take your stress away. You know what? He actually taken it all away for us on the cross He died.

Give your stress to Christ. You will never enjoy complete peace of mind until you have a relationship with the Prince of Peace. Jesus says," Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle an humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

Jesus never did say "Come to Me and I will give you more guilt, more burdens, more stress and more worries" But I still listening Him says" I want to give you rest. I am the Stress-Reliever. when you get in hormony with Me, I will give you inner strength" Chirst can transform your lifestyle from stressful to satistified.

What do you need? If we never committed our life Christ, we need a transformation. Give our life with all its stresses to Him and say, " Lord, please give me a new life. Replace pressure i feel with the peace You offer. Help me follow Your principles of stress management." Amen!!!
